Myofascial Release and Deep Core Tissue Massage are areas of therapeutic bodywork that go deeper than traditional massage therapy by their very nature.
Myofascial Release works with the muscles, joints, and fascia – the body’s connective tissue – to help the client release stress and heal injuries, aches and pains faster.
For the practitioner, it’s a form of therapy that is less tiring, and allows the therapist to treat more clients, with less wear and tear, while for the patient, it brings better results.
The course will give the therapist a basic understanding of how to use Deep Core bodywork techniques and provide detailed knowledge on how parts of the body are interconnected, and how Myofascial Release works to help the body heal. It will also prepare the student for further advanced courses as it explores the healing relationship.
The course will educate the practitioner in the following areas:
- The theory and philosophy of Myofascial Release.
- Effective, powerful techniques for the shoulder girdle/neck, lower back & pelvis.
- How to effectively use your body weight for maximum efficiency and minimum fatigue.
- Effectively assess and treat musculoskeletal pain.
- Dramatically improve clinical results in the treatment of neck and shoulder pain, the pelvis and lower back.
- How Myofascial Release affects the spiritual and emotional body.
- The concept of embodiment.
- The healing relationship.
